Simple Process

How Plug Yangu works

Two short journeys — one for people who need work done, one for the professionals who do it.

Choose your path

Pick the journey that fits you

Switch between the two views — nothing else on the page changes.

1
Create your free account

Sign up with Google or your email in under a minute. Add the phone number you use for M-Pesa.

Install the app and get KSh 300 welcome credit
2
Top up your wallet

Fund your wallet with M-Pesa STK Push — the prompt comes straight to your phone, no paybill numbers to copy.

Top-ups from KSh 100, no top-up fee
3
Search providers near you

Allow location access and see verified providers sorted by how close they are, with their quality score and reviews.

4
Send your request

Pick a provider and describe the job. The connection fee for that service is shown before you confirm and deducted from your wallet.

Connection fee: KSh 30 – KSh 300
5
Chat and coordinate

Once the provider accepts, chat in the app to share your exact location, timing and any details. They navigate to you.

6
Rate the work

After the job, leave a rating and review. Your feedback feeds the provider quality score that everyone else sees.

1
Register as a provider

Create your provider account with email and password, then pick the service categories you actually work in.

2
Get verified

Upload your national ID and any trade certificates. Our team reviews every application before your profile can go live.

Required before you appear in search
3
Go online

Flip your availability to online and share your location. Clients searching in your area will now see you.

4
Receive requests

You are notified the moment a nearby client sends a request. Review the job and accept or decline before it expires.

Acceptance fee: KSh 30 – KSh 300
5
Deliver the job

Navigate to the client, do the work, then mark the job complete in the app so it counts toward your quality score.

6
Get paid by the client

Agree payment directly with your client outside the platform. Your Plug Yangu wallet is only for acceptance fees and subscriptions — unused credit can be refunded via support.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Registration is free for both clients and providers. Clients pay a connection fee only when they send a request, and providers pay a small acceptance fee on jobs they take. There is no charge for simply having an account.
Every provider submits a valid government ID plus any trade or professional documents relevant to their category. Our verification team reviews each application manually, and a provider cannot appear in search results until they are approved.
Enter the amount in the app and confirm. An M-Pesa STK prompt is sent to your phone, you enter your PIN, and the balance reflects immediately. There are no paybill or account numbers to copy.
You can cancel free of charge any time before a provider accepts. Once a provider has accepted and committed their time, a cancellation charge may apply.
Wallet credit is for platform fees (connection or acceptance fees, subscriptions). Job payments are arranged directly with the other party. If you have unused top-up credit you no longer need, contact support and an admin will assist with a refund.
Raise a dispute from the request in the app. Our support team reviews the chat history and both sides of the story, and can refund the connection fee where the complaint is upheld.
